Questions about menopause treatment
Does menopause care always mean hormone therapy?
No. Hormonal and nonhormonal options are available. The choice depends on your symptoms, preferences, and medical history. Hormone therapy can help with bothersome hot flashes and night sweats, but it is not appropriate for everyone.
Are bioidentical hormones automatically safer?
No. The word “bioidentical” does not establish that a treatment is safer. FDA-approved bioidentical medicines and custom-compounded preparations are different. Compounded hormones have not been shown to be safer or more effective than approved options. Discuss the specific preparation, benefits, and risks with your clinician.
Can I meet with Jennifer by telehealth?
Yes. Jennifer offers menopause and perimenopause care in person in Parker and by telehealth for patients located in Colorado. Contact Apex to discuss which appointment format fits your needs.
