Treatment

Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Treatments are customized to you based on your presenting symptoms, laboratory values, and your goals.

Testosterone treatment options include either topical creams or testosterone injections. Injectable therapies are prescribed and delivered directly to your home to be self-administered.

Prior to starting therapy, testosterone treatment modalities will be fully discussed including the risks, benefits, and other potentially necessary additions such as treatments to control estrogen levels. Men will learn how to inject during their first visit. Injections are typically twice weekly in the abdominal fat (or subcutaneous tissue) and are virtually painless. Injecting testosterone in this manner allows for more precise dosing and better optimization of hormone levels throughout the week.

Follow up and routine lab work will continue throughout treatment to ensure safe levels as we work to reach your goals. Follow up visits will occur every 3 months until hormone levels are optimized and stable.
